Jake Hemmerich is the Chief Operating Officer at our firm, where he oversees operational strategy, organizational efficiency, and client-focused service delivery. With a strong background in financial operations and team leadership, Jake plays a key role in aligning internal processes with long-term business objectives and regulatory standards.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Bethel University, building a solid academic foundation in business that supports his work in guiding complex financial functions and optimizing firm-wide performance. Jake is recognized for his ability to streamline workflows, strengthen cross-departmental collaboration, and support accounting professionals in delivering exceptional value to clients.
Outside of his professional accomplishments, Jake is a dedicated husband and father of four. He enjoys traveling, discovering new destinations, and spending quality time with his family. Whether exploring new cultures or enjoying time at home, Jacob’s family life remains central to who he is.
Connor Brooks
Connor Brooks is a Senior Accountant at our firm, specializing in tax compliance, payroll administration, bookkeeping, and more. He manages daily accounting operations for a wide range of clients, ensuring accuracy, organization, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Connor brings a practical, detail-oriented approach to helping clients, helping them stay on track throughout the year.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance from Indiana University, building a strong foundation in financial analysis and business operations.
Outside of work, Connor is an avid golfer and sports fan who enjoys traveling, spending time with his golden retriever and his girlfriend, exploring new restaurants, attending sporting events, and taking advantage of any opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and try new experiences.
Ariana Sauceda
Ariana is a Staff Account at Mark McNamee, CPA. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bethel University in 2022, where she developed a strong foundation in financial principles, analytical thinking, and ethical decision-making. Ariana transitioned fully into the accounting field in August 2023. Since then, she has continued building expertise in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and day to-day accounting operations that support the firm’s accuracy and efficiency.
Ariana is passionate about helping others understand the importance of smart, sound decisions. She values accuracy, clarity, and continuous learning.
Outside the office, Ariana loves baking, cheering on her favorite baseball and football teams, and spending time with Paloma, her best friend and a beloved mini goldendoodle. She loves finding new ways to stay active and connected, whether through sports, hobbies, or time with friends and family.
Victoria (Tori) White
Victoria (Tori) White is the Office Manager, where she oversees all office communication and administrative operations. She manages daily duties ranging from payroll administration to bookkeeping to client services. Tori brings a strong attention to detail, experience in operations management, and exemplary customer service to her role. She enjoys her daily client interactions as well as the multitude of tasks that are thrown her way.
Tori earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame. She holds a master’s degree in Education from Saint Joseph’s University as well as her producer’s licenses in Life and Accident and Health Insurance. From teaching to the construction industry to the fitness industry to finance and accounting, Tori has honed her skill set to be transferrable to any field. She has had the opportunity to hold leadership positions in multiple companies where she helped restructure procedures, drive efficiency, and implement cost controls. After running her own businesses, Victoria enjoys working with other business owners and helping them streamline their operations. She considers herself a life-long learner and embraces every opportunity that comes her way.
Outside of work, Tori’s favorite role is being an auntie to her niece and three nephews. She is also a hiking enthusiast and loves to spend time outdoors. No matter what she is doing, Victoria gives it 100% of her energy and tries to make the most of each day.
Bill Shertzer
Bill Shertzer is a seasoned professional with a diverse background spanning healthcare operations and financial services. A 1982 graduate of Dartmouth College, Bill earned a degree in socio-biology and went on to build a successful career in executive and management roles within the eye care and dental industries.
Since 2018, Bill has been an integral part of Mark McNamee CPA. His broad professional experience enables him to bring a practical, disciplined approach to supporting clients’ long-term goals.
Outside of work, Bill places a high value on family, balance, and enjoying life. One of his greatest joys is spending time with his five-year-old grandson, Colton, and staying closely connected with family. Bill also enjoys travel, appreciating opportunities to explore new places and cultures. In his free time, you’ll often find him cheering on his favorite football and baseball teams.

Joshua Wills
Director of Operations
After graduating from Michigan State University, Josh found himself working in the medical field for years before finding his way into the financial world. His growing interest in investing and the intricacies of personal finance landed him at O’Neill Asset Management, where he handles much of the behind-the-scenes action to create a fluid client experience.
Away from the office Josh enjoys quality time with his family and friends, being active by enjoying the outdoors, and oh – he’s also quite the drummer! Josh resides in the Jenison area with his wife, Maggie, and their newborn son, Wesley.
Michael Potter
Lead Advisor
Michael has always had an interest in numbers and economics. He’s got an accounting background that eventually led him to earn his CPA to prove it! Michael enjoys a challenge, he saw an opportunity to use his gifts to help with the stress, confusion, and difficulty that people and businesses face when it comes to proper financial planning.
Outside of the office Michael challenges himself physically by participating in marathons, including the Boston Marathon and Chicago Marathon. He loves boating and water sports in the summer and skiing in the winter. Michael resides in the Wyoming area with his wife, Lauren. They just welcomed their daughter, Madelyn, into the world in April 2022.

After his career in the military, Jake earned a bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University and started working in the insurance industry. From his experience as an insurance professional, he found a passion in the investing side of the financial industry. Jake is a valuable player to the team who brings positive energy to not only the office but all clients who get to interact with him!
Jake enjoys being active outdoors, playing darts, and is quite the baller on the court! Outside of the office, he also appreciates spending quality time with his Wife Chanda, and newborn girl, Leighton. They currently reside in the Wyoming area.
Joseph Snyder

Joseph has always felt a strong calling to pursue a career centered around service. That passion has been fulfilled in his role at O’Neill Asset Management, where he provides clients with the knowledge and tools necessary for their success. Combining a love for client interactions with the technical aspects of finance, Joseph finds great satisfaction in the work he does.
Originally from just outside the small town of Jonesville, MI, in Hillsdale County—about 30 minutes south of Jackson, MI—Joseph now resides in the rural beauty of Litchfield with his wife, Tara. Surrounded by rolling fields, they enjoy the peaceful charm of Michigan’s countryside.
In his spare time, Joseph stays active with various sports, including volleyball, basketball, and Jiu-Jitsu. He also enjoys playing the acoustic guitar and diving into thought-provoking books. Evenings are often spent unwinding with Tara, watching a favorite TV series while enjoying a bowl of Moose Tracks ice cream.

Jon developed an interest in finance during his college years at Calvin College, where he studied finance. He has always been fascinated by the management of money, but it wasn’t until three years ago that he officially entered the financial planning and advising field. Since then, he has enjoyed being part of the effort to help people achieve their financial goals and build a secure future.
A Grand Rapids, MI, native, Jon continues to reside there with his wife, Amanda, and their beloved puppy, Poppi.
In his free time, Jon enjoys watching the latest and greatest TV shows with Amanda. A passionate sports fan, he closely follows Michigan football and basketball, as well as the Pistons and Lions. He also loves spending time outdoors, especially golfing in the summer.
John Spears

John has always been passionate about creative problem-solving and finding innovative solutions. He discovered his niche in finance when he became a licensed Investment Advisor Representative. A firm believer in lifelong learning, he is continuously motivated to grow and improve in order to better serve others. Originally from Massachusetts, he moved to Michigan to attend Grand Valley State University. He now lives with his fiancée, Bree, and their two rescue cats.
In his free time, he enjoys reading, watching movies, and exercising. His favorite weekends are spent walking to the movie theater with Bree or heading to Frosty Boy for ice cream.

A native of Richland, Michigan, and a 2005 graduate of Gull Lake High School, Danielle brings both personal and professional experience to the work of serving clients with integrity and care.
Outside of the office, Danielle values time with family and enjoys daily walks in nature with two dogs at the Ott Biological Preserve in Battle Creek. While committed to excellence in the financial field, Danielle also believes in maintaining balance and perspective through personal well-being and family connections.

With an Associate’s Degree in Business and an EMT license, Renae brings a unique blend of professional skills and personal experience. She expertly juggles the demands of her career with her responsibilities as a mother of 3, dog mom of 2 and a caregiver for her Grandmother. She is adept at multi-tasking, problem solving and providing compassionate support. She’s driven by a commitment to excellence and a passion for delivering top-notch customer service.
